You've got me in your corner.

Individual psychotherapy is a unique opportunity to explore and compassionately examine the many parts that make up our beings. Perhaps you are considering seeking therapy because you feel stuck in a pattern of behaviors or feelings. You may know the version of yourself you strive to be, yet you find yourself unable to sustain the change you desire. Oftentimes, there are parts of ourselves that we feel at odds with that underlie our feeling stuck. My approach as a therapist is to help you uncover the origins of these parts. Together, we will formulate ways to help you satisfy your emotional needs in more productive and satisfying ways. You can read more about this approach on my blog.

Alternatively, you may not know exactly what you’re hoping to achieve in therapy--you just know that some aspect of your life is not congruent with the life you want to live. Perhaps you feel uncertain about how you fit into the world or unsure about how to cultivate the relationships you desire. Together, we can get clear on your emotions and on what you’re most wanting out of life. We will formulate a plan in our work to help you feel confident and capable of living the life you most desire.

In my work with individuals, I provide a safe space where you can explore the concerns that are most important to you. I will assist you in fostering insights and in creating new experiences in order to help you meet your goals.

The benefits of individual therapy are too numerous to comprehensively list, but here are a few I have witnessed in my own clients:

  • Increased insight and understanding of your behaviors and emotions

  • Enhanced self-confidence and self-compassion

  • Clarity around one's sense of purpose and direction

  • Catharsis of challenging or difficult emotions and thoughts

  • Relief from emotional symptoms such as depression and anxiety

  • More satisfying interpersonal and romantic relationships
